I don’t know how about you, but I am a big fan of potatoes hehe Probably because I come from Poland and we eat potatoes every day ? At time to time I found it nice to make something else than boiled potatoes hehe and maybe replace it with pancake (from potatoes hehehe). It is similar dish to Hungarian pancakes (placki po wegiersku), however I modified it a little bit.

Ok, enough yapping, let’s get this party started 🙂


Well, you have to pill potatoes and grate it, so if you don’t have special machine, so it can take around 1/2 an hour. Frying pancakes – 1/2 an hour. In this same time you can prepare sauce.

Potato pancakes:

1 kg of potatoes,

2 eggs,

1/2 cup of flour,

1/2 tea spoon of salt.

Pill potatoes and grate it. Place in a bowl and add salt and flour (cake needs to be thick). Reheat oil on the pan and put cake on the pan with a spoon. Make flat potato pancake. Fry from both sides until it will be brown. 


1 chicken breast,

1 onion,

1 carrot,

1/2 can of green peas,

250 g of mashrooms,

100 g of tomato paste,

Spices: salt, pepper, kebab/gyros spice.

Cut everything in small pieces. First fry meat with onion and spices, then add mashrooms. Add  cup of water and carrots with peas. Cook for a while until sauce will be thick and carrot soft.
Ok, now reheat potato pancake, put yellow cheese. Put pancake on plate, pour sauce on one half and close it. You can pour sauce on the top or pour sour cream.
